Biomethane as an alternative to natural gas? In the coming years, it can replace 5 percent of consumption in the Czech Republic

In connection with the current discussion the possible restriction of Russian gas supplies, possible alternatives in the Czech energy mix are beginning to be discussed. One of the options often mentioned is biomethane, which can be produced in sewage treatment plants using sludge gas or in biogas stations, where it replaces cogeneration production of electricity and heat.
